Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and oversee the facility's security program in accordance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other applicable regulations.
  • Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and training sessions for all personnel, ensuring awareness and compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Manage access control systems and procedures, ensuring the physical security of the facility and its assets.
  • Coordinate with government agencies to obtain necessary security clearances for personnel and, optionally, approvals for storage and processing of classified information.
  • Maintain accurate security records, including personnel security files, incident reports, and audit logs.
  • Optionally, assist in the process of obtaining and maintaining SCIF accreditation, ensuring compliance with SCI security requirements.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the alignment of the security program with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including procedures for evacuation, lockdown, and coordination with local law enforcement and emergency services.
  • Stay informed of the latest security threats, trends, and technologies to continuously improve the facility's security posture.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a security role, with a strong preference for experience in a corporate or government facility.
  • Knowledge of NISPOM, Department of Defense (DoD) security regulations, and other relevant security standards and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate personnel to adhere to security protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and implement effective security measures.
  • Proficiency in security systems and technology, including access control, surveillance, and communication systems.
  • Optional: Experience with SCI and SCIF-related security requirements and processes is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, with a preference for candidates who already possess an active clearance.
