Commercial General Contractor in DC hiring a Project Manager
Your new company:
An established commercial general contractor are hiring for a Project Manager to lead a pipeline of new build construction projects in DC. 20 years in operation with revenue in the $120M range for 2023 with a projection to do $165M in 2024. Base Salary in the range of $115k-$135k base salary with an attractive bonus plan, vehicle allowance and thorough benefits on offer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager who seeks to become a Senior Project Manager in the next couple of years.
Your new role:
Project Manager position to oversee new build construction builds within the DMV area. Projects will be mixed commercial ranging from education, retail multifamily, office and institutional in the $10M - $50M range.
You will take ownership and lead the core Project Management functions for your assigned projects, with daily responsibilities including client engagement, overseeing scheduling and risk management, project, and loss analysis, as well as supporting with preconstruction and wider business strategy. You will have the responsibility to lead a team consisting of a PM, APM, PE and field management.
As the company grows there will be the opportunity for you to develop into a Senior Project Manager position.
What you'll need to succeed:
  • 5-8 years' experience in commercial construction as a Project Manager working for a general contractor.
  • Ability and track record to deliver new construction projects in the $10M - $75M range from the ground up. Project experience in the commercial construction but open to the market
  • Have interest and experience in managing a team of Project Engineers/APMs and Superintendents.
  • Currently live in DC, MD or VA and are comfortable in working in DC.
  • Looking to invest long-term into a growing general contractor and passionate about continuing to develop your skill set into a Project Executive role.

  • Base salary in the range of $115k-$135k, negotiable on experience.
