Transit Dispatcher - Full-Time

Location: Camano Island, WA

We are seeking a qualified individual to join the Dispatch team responsible for maintaining communication between transit vehicles and the Dispatch office ensuring efficient and smooth operations of transit services and schedule paratransit trips.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.

2. Previous dispatch experience or experience in public transportation preferred, or a combination of education and experience in related field

4. Must possess a valid Washington State driver’s license and be able to obtain and maintain a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsement and air brake restriction lifted. Training & CDL Testing provided by Island Transit.

5. Must have an acceptable five (5) year driving record that meets the agency’s hiring criteria and maintain acceptable driving record during employment.

WORK SCHEDULE

Dispatcher assignments are comprised of specific schedules/duties covering service hours and bid for by seniority. Dispatchers work 5 days per week. Operating days are Monday – Sunday.
