The Company :
IGE Performance Chemicals is a chemical manufacturing and processing company located in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. IGE has a chemical product R&D development team, which develops manufacturing processes in a lab for different specialty chemical products, starting with a pilot-scale manufacturing process and finishing with a medium-large scale production setup.
Additionally, IGE has a production team consisting of 15 people, which performs synthesis and physical processing (grinding, blending, sieving, etc.
of specialty chemicals.
The Position :
The Shift Supervisor will work full-time in IGE’s manufacturing facility in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania managing the 10AM-6PM production shift.
The Supervisor will oversee all chemical production operations such as grinding, sieving, and blending as well as order processing, safety and environmental protocols, and ensure that all internal, and customer, standards are met. Additionally, t
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction, training, and guidance to Plant Operators
- Ensure that records are properly maintained and filed.
- Manage continuous improvement efforts and coordinate with Production Manager to ensure Preventative Maintenance of equipment is regularly scheduled and carried out correctly.
- Ensure safety, environmental and GMP standards are being met.
- Ensure raw material requirements are met and available for Production operations.
- Responsible for the execution of the production schedule to satisfy customer requirements with respect to time, cost, and quality.
- Ensures that the necessary plant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are developed and that production employees have been trained to meet plant operations objectives.
- Develop a system for accurately measuring and controlling such as Overhead and Capital Expenditures.
Qualifications :
- 5-10 years of Supervisory experience and a proven track record of Project Management is required.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience in a GMP environment.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Well-organized, time efficient and effective communication.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
