Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Arabic and Quranic Studies Teacher to join our educational institution. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in both Arabic language and Quranic studies, with the ability to effectively teach and inspire students in these subjects. The Arabic and Quranic Studies Teacher will be responsible for developing lesson plans, delivering engaging and creative instruction, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for Arabic language and Quranic studies classes.
  • Teach students of varying ages and proficiency levels in Arabic language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
  • Instruct students in the memorization and recitation of Quranic verses, as well as the understanding of their meanings and interpretations.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student progress through regular quizzes, exams, and other forms of evaluation, providing constructive feedback to promote growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school administrators to develop and align curriculum standards and learning objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic achievements.
  • Stay informed about current trends and developments in Arabic and Quranic education, integrating new methodologies and technologies into teaching practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and school-related events as required.

Qualifications:

  • Prefered Bachelor's degree in Arabic language, Islamic studies, or a related field;
  • Proficient in both spoken and written Arabic, with a strong command of classical Arabic grammar and vocabulary.
  • Thorough knowledge of Quranic recitation rules (Tajweed) and proficiency in memorization and interpretation (Tafsir) of Quranic verses.
  • Previous teaching experience in Arabic and Quranic studies, preferably in an educational institution or Islamic school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering the academic, spiritual, and moral development of students.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, parents, and community members.
  • Understanding and adherence to Islamic principles and values, as well as respect for cultural diversity and religious beliefs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.96 - $30.39 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
