Summary
The Facilities Coordinator / Maintenance Tech is responsible for overseeing fabrication shop and facilities maintenance and ensuring all equipment and buildings are maintained and serviced according to established protocols.
Essential Functions
Manage all facility needs including assistance with site planning, materials / supplies needed, and assistance with management of other set-up / maintenance needs.
Analytic problem-solver.
Detail-oriented planner.
Reviewing and executing supply needs as directed by Fab Shop Manager or General Manager
Ensure all equipment is maintained and serviced according to established protocols.
Perform equipment repairs where qualified and per ILG and manufacturers’ guidelines and instructions.
Maintain a preventative maintenance program to ensure all equipment is fully operational with little or no downtime.
Coordinate with the general manager on all other facility needs.
Attend training courses or qualification schools to ensure repair and maintenance competencies remain current.
Education & Experience
Required
High School or equivalent
3-5 years applicable job experience
Preferred
Technical Degree
Bilingual (English / Spanish)
CAD / CAM experience
Skills & Competencies
Required
Strong technology skills and the ability to leverage technology in work processes
Strong communication skills, including written communication
Knowledge of principles, procedures and best practices in the industry
Experience in a countertop fabrication shop in manufacturing or other related shop industry preferred.
Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to proactively identify, analyze, address, and resolve problem areas, conflicts, and issues.
Displays willingness to make decisions.
