About us

Isaac Medical Group is a newly opened medical office that offers general and preventative health care for all ages in this area and the surrounding communities. The clinic utilizes trained staff, new equipment, sound medical training, a referral system and nearby hospital facilities in order to maximize the care for each patient

Isaac Medical Group is committed to providing services that will exceed the expectations of our patients, resulting in a successful patient outcomes. This position is very important as the medical receptionist will be the first and last person patients encounter. Kindness, empathy, and dedication are key characterizes that we are looking for in a person to fill this job.

Job Responsibilities

1. Greets patients and answers telephone in a courteous and professional manner, addresses questions and direct calls appropriately.

2. Ensures patient confidentiality, and provides patients with needed information.

3. Observes patients in waiting room and reports any apparent illness or distress to clinical staff.

4. Schedules appointments in compliance with Isaac Medical, LLC.

5. Collects patient demographic information and accurately registers patients in the information management system.

6. Makes appointment reminder calls daily.

7. Conducts financial assessment for uninsured patients including, obtaining financial information, entering the information in the system, and advising patient of appropriate discount to be assigned based on the sliding fee scale.

8. Verify patient insurance information

9. Accurately posts procedures, diagnosis, and payments in the information management system as documented on the patient encounter form.

10. Collects patient payments including, cash, check, credit card, debit card, etc. and maintains balanced cash drawer at all times.

11. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers and other office visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

12. Handles emails, tasks, and messages and communicate to appropriate staff

13. Retrieve telephone messages from the voicemail system and respond appropriately at least two times each day.

14. Ensures protection of patient protected health information by complying with the HIPAA Privacy Rule policies and procedures.

15. Performs other necessary duties as required to meet the goal of providing primary health care services.

16. Submits prescription refill requests in patient’s electronic health record for approval by center provider.

Job QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or GED.

2. A minimum of one (1) year experience in a medical facility and/or related customer service field.

3. Computer literate.

4. Must be qualified in Basic Life Support techniques.

5. The ability to communicate effectively in person and on the telephone with other staff, the public, the patients if Isaac Medical Group, LLC.

6. The ability to effectively perform the several duties that are part of the medical office activities, including the ability to perform basic mathematical functions consistently and correctly.

7. The ability to be bonded for the handling of cash receipts.
