Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in patient service and medical administration, with proficiency in medical terminology and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Manage patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently
- Schedule appointments using medical scheduling software
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain medical records accurately and ensure patient confidentiality
- Assist with urgent care patients and provide support during emergencies
- Utilize eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems for administrative tasks
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures
- Familiarity with phone systems and handling multiple lines
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly in an ER or urgent care setting
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
