Iroquois Skilled Nursing Community is Hiring a Transportation driver Near Jamesville, NY
Picks up and drives newly admitted residents from the hospital or other discharge locations to bring to facility.
Drives residents to and from various appointments, as assigned.
Opens and closes doors for incoming and outgoing passengers.
Loads and unloads residents into van.
Secure residents in the van with seat belts, or securing the wheel or Geri chair in the
Van for transportation.
If transporting without the assistance of another staff member from the facility (nurse aide, or Transportation tech)
attends to any non-clinical special needs that may occur on the vehicle, such as answering questions,
or redirecting residents. Responds to resident questions, issues and problems regarding transportation.
Performs daily vehicle inspections, and cleans vehicle daily, or as needed.
Report any vehicle malfunctions, or concerns to the Maintenance Department.
After arrival, transports the resident via wheelchair to final destination in the facility.
Additional duties as needed to fulfill the needs of the department or facility
Must have a Valid NYS Driver's License
