Iroquois County Unit 9 is Hiring a Curriculum Director Near Watseka, IL

FUNCTION: To assist the Superintendent with various responsibilities related to curriculum, assessment, and staff development and the application and administration of Title I.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred but not required, a M.S. in school administration with a valid Illinois certificate - Type 75 Administrative Endorsement.
  • At least two years experience as an administrator or supervisor in public schools, the State Board of Education, education service regions, or in certain approved non-public schools.
  • 2 - 4 yrs. previous experience in an educational setting, preferably in a teaching role. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Establish and maintain effective and courteous working relationships with those contacted in the course of work (students, parents and staff).
  • Ability to understand and follow basic oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate to students, parents and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner.


SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to create, analyze and interpret documents and correspondence.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the school community.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in written form in a timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions, inquiries, and/or complaints.
  • Displays courtesy, tact, and respect when dealing with others.

  • Ability to identify and define problem(s), collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate files and records.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
