Medical Laboratory Technician MLT (ASCP) Opening in Missouri!
Join an amazing team as the day shift weekend MT/MLT for a critical access hospital located in Memphis, Missouri. The staff are dedicated to creating a welcoming and cohesive work environment!
MLT (ASCP)Details:
- Shift: Night Shift / Weekend Package
- Friday 6 pm – Monday 6 am: Friday-Sunday nights on call
- Saturday – Sunday Day Shift 6 am to 3 pm
- MLT: $26/hour – Increases based on experience.
- MT: $29/hour – Increases based on experience.
MLT (ASCP) Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- MLT (ASCP): Completion of an accredited Laboratory certification program receiving a minimum of an AAS degree
- Medical Technologist: BA in science or biology
- Qualified under one of the governing bodies of Laboratory to perform High Complexity tests.
MLT (ASCP) Job Description:
- Under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, the Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician performs a variety of laboratory tests, many of which are complex, involve numerous steps and techniques, and require the use of judgment. Tests may be performed in hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, coagulation, therapeutic drug monitoring, non-syphilis serology, and urinalysis. Technologists must also be proficient in techniques of specimen procurement such as phlebotomy and finger or heel punctures.
- Sound application of the principles, theories, and techniques of medical technology are used to produce reliable results which aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of their patients.
