Iron Mountain is. hiring an asset preservation specialist to assist with a specific customer project. The specialist will manage the digitization and migration of historical recordings into our Dam. The specialist will also manage new asset deliveries, from partners. Insuring metadata integrity and compliance with our own Physical Asset Preservation Policy will require focused research and digitization maintained by a dedicated Specialist. The Preservation Project-Hire will contribute to our overall Preservation effort.

Responsibilities

• Compare music assets across various physical and digital collections to identify primary music sources.
• Compile and send out source assets for digitization.
• Keep up-to-date project notes and records.
• Assemble regular progress reports.
• Compare records across multiple databases, platforms, spreadsheets, and documents to complete research.
• Distinguish primary assets, safety assets, non-compliant assets from a collection of assets that may range across multiple media formats.
• Manage digitization status on shared resources and databases.

Physical Asset Inspection – On-Prem

• Reconcile digitization status between Preservation Tracker and Limecraft.
• Determine remaining assets to send through AMICS.
• Inspect and catalog all physical sources.
• Send assets to IM Deep Storage.
• Consolidate physical asset storage as needed.
• Flag physical assets for deprecation.

Additional responsibilities may include;

• Physical asset consolidation
• Video/Graphics Digitization (All responsibilities listed above included)

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience related to media assets.
• General Knowledge of audio and video formats.
• Understanding of recorded music elements (mixes/masters/stems)
• Energetic, efficient, excellent time-management and organization skills
• Attention to detail; accuracy is critical.
• Highly intelligent and adaptable; quick learner.
• Strong work ethic.
• Excellent interpersonal skills: very customer service focused.
• Ability to work on concurrent projects while prioritizing as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with audio editing software
• Minimum 2 years of experience in preservation and restoration

Education:

• Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent work experience

COMP: $ 66,560.00

Reasonably expected salary range: $58,900.00 - $73,600.00
