Mutiny Pirate Bar & Island Grille is in search of a hardworking, friendly, motivated staff member to join our ranks and help us take on the world. We need someone who is high energy and able to work under pressure. The right candidate is unflappable, has a flexible schedule, is experienced, but still eager to learn, and is looking to be part of a fun, professional team of service experts. We work hard start to finish 363 days a year; holidays, Sundays, birthdays and everything in between. You need to be organized, but laid back, focused, but personable. You need to be able to work clean, but can’t be afraid to get your hands dirty. In short, you have to work your tail off with a smile on your face, endlessly putting the guests’ needs before your own.

We’re a hardworking, motivated group of restaurant professionals bent on cultivating the coolest working and dining environment on the planet.

First and foremost, we want to thank you for your interest in joining our crew. It’s always flattering to be reminded that we run the kind of restaurant that people want to be a part of. We take what we do very seriously and we work extremely hard at it, which we believe is what makes Mutiny such an attractive place to work. That being said, we expect a lot out of every member of our team regardless of their position. No one’s job is more important than anyone else’s because we can’t run the restaurant without every single one, so from the bottom to the top, a qualified candidate will need to have the same passion and drive that we expect from ourselves.

The right candidate will be proud to work here. It’s great to know the menu inside and out, to be familiar with every rum, or to have the best sales and the highest tips, but these are not the only things that make you successful at Mutiny. There are countless restaurants out there with job openings, including some with more lucrative opportunities. Most people work to make money, and we understand that, but you work at Mutiny because you believe in it, because you want to be part of something incredible and because you know that you have the support of a team that you can count on.

• Someone who has excellent communication skills, you are the link between the guests, and the kitchen so it is important to make sure you can get your point across clearly and concisely.

Qualities That Are Important To Our Guests:

• Greeting every guest with a warm welcome. Be polite and personable, and prepared to answer questions about the restaurant and the specials we are offering
• Be prepared to learn and work multiple positions. We are a team, you may have to make drinks one day, or be a food runner the next, as a server you will need to know how to do it all.
• Have strong food and rum knowledge. We do not expect our waitstaff to be rum experts or master chefs, but our guests look to us to be experience makers not order takers-you are more than just a server. Our guests come in for a dining experience not just dinner.
• Read your guests so that every table gets the experience they are looking for Whether they want someone to guide them through their visit, or someone who delivers their food and drinks and just leaves them alone.
• Come to work ready to work. Our guests do not care that we had a bad week, when you are on the floor you should be “stage ready”.
• Working as part of our family by bringing ideas to help make Mutiny better and better. You’re our first and last line of defense, and you’re ALWAYS an advocate for our guests.
