Position Summary:

The Shipping Team Leader will assist the Warehouse Manage with all OUTBOUND functions of the warehouse. This includes shipping freight, small parcel, will call and delivery. This position will assist in ensuring the Warehouse Department meets all performance goals and expectations including accuracy, organization, cleanliness, safety, training and fast, friendly customer service.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Ensures that outbound shipments are loaded in a safe & timely manner

· Organizes the pulling of all orders in a timely manner and according to priority

· Ensures that all outbound orders are accurate with an emphasis on accuracy

· Selects the best mode of transportation for all outbound orders

· Schedules shipments for both LTL and UPS emphasizing the best solution for customer

· Follows guidelines and procedures for quoting shipping costs including extreme length

· Completes processing and shipment of LTL and UPS shipments based on customer needs

· Palletizes & wraps to minimize damage and maximize organization for LTL and delivery

· Packages UPS orders to minimize damage during shipping

· Passionate about driving warehouse safety at IBT

· Keeps the warehouse and showroom clean and organized

· Greets customers with a positive, friendly attitude while assisting with axle loadout

· Focused on pallet optimization to promote safe and efficient pulling

· Provides assistance in training new hires in the warehouse

Education and Experience:

· Must have at least 3 years of warehouse operations experience

· Must be proficient on the sit down forklift and the Crown walk behind

· Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility

· Experienced team leader with proven problem solving experience

· Strives to eliminate waste by finding more efficient ways to serve our customers’ needs

Physical Demands:

· Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and maneuver around the warehouse.

· Must be able to lift up to 100bs

Work Environment:

· Usual office, warehouse, manufacturing and repair shop conditions will exist such as dust, lighting, noise and temperature fluctuations

· This position is 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities

· Must be trained at the sales counter be part of the Saturday weekend rotation schedule

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
