Job Summary

Provides basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Requires the knowledge, technique, and communication skills to therapeutically meet the needs of adults who have mental illness. Responsible for performing a variety of assigned tasks. Must be able to identify each patient’s age-specific needs and provide appropriate care as assigned.

Job Specification

• Minimum Education Required: A high school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum Experience Required: 1 year Medical-Surgical and or Geriatric experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification Required: Successful completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program preferred and Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire).

• Possess the ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, communicate with RN/GN staff to report changes in patient’s conditions.
