Job Description:

Based in Bismarck, ND, the successful candidate will be an active member of the IRISNDT team. This is a full-time, permanent position. IRISNDT offers a health benefits package to its employees. Duties include:

  • Perform engineering duties in planning and designing machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.
  • Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as robotics, drones, automated and semi-automated scanners, design and machine parts, and gimbals.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
  • Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, or processes to meet requirements.
  • Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
  • Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs.
  • Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
  • Perform work to further investigate failures and material degradation of equipment.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or foreign equivalent);
  • 2-years’ experience as a NDE Engineer required;
  • Certification to API 510 and 570 required;
  • Level II certification in Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant inspection methods required;
  • Valid Driver’s License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required; and
  • Pre-employment background checks will be required.
