About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Program Strategy and Impact to join its high-growth social justice organization. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader and seasoned narrative expert, with a proven record of impact in the fields of communications or advocacy. This senior leadership role involves executive and program leadership, including the development and achievement of strategic priorities to build cultural and narrative power, particularly in the context of overcoming white supremacy and creating opportunities for all. The VP will be responsible for leading all programmatic work, developing new programs, advancing narrative strategy, and ensuring the organization remains a leader in the social justice sector. They will also oversee the implementation of the strategic plan, lead a team of 10, and be actively involved in fundraising and stewarding funder relationships.Applicants for the VP position at the company should have no less than 8 years' of management experience in communications or advocacy, a deep commitment to the organization's mission and values, and a demonstrated commitment to anti-racism and combating white supremacy. The role requires superior supervisory and talent development skills, the ability to manage projects, achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget. The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading successful social justice-focused communications campaigns, experience in program evaluation, and a comprehensive understanding of relevant trends in social movements, the media landscape, and policymaking. Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and fluency with digital and social media platforms are also essential.
