Build your career at Iress! Come join our Fund Accounting team as our Head of Fund Accounting within our Superannuation business unit! As the Head of Fund Accounting you will be representing the superannuation administration offering with a particular focus on fund accounting services in relation to new business and growth opportunities. You will be involved with the provision and execution of fund accounting services including the preparation of Statutory accounts, financial and APRA reporting and tax accounting for superannuation funds inline with SLA targets and related statutory requirements. You will ensure that the services delivered are efficient, effective and compliant, as well as drive effectiveness including the support of reviews into the service. Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with: Responsible for the overall leadership of the fund accounting team providing technical and functional direction, and guidance to ensure the team delivers quality service to clients. Leverage your superannuation fund accounting knowledge and experience to oversee the delivery of fund accounting services including unit pricing, financial statement preparation and reporting, acting as a leader and key resource to divisional and global teams Provide oversight fund accounting services for accuracy, completeness, and compliance of regulations, policies and standards. Manage the internal and external risk & control environment. Design and implement scalable, and strategic improvements to the fund accounting services. Good understanding of relevant audit and controls frameworks. Identify people, process, and quality improvements to lower the cost to serve. Work with each client to ensure that contracted deliverables and related services are delivered within service level standards. Work with internal teams to ensure Fund accounting related hand offs are efficient and effective. Manage external engagements and service interactions with service providers including auditors. Responsible for the financial performance of the team and its contribution to overall financial performance of the Operations team. Participate as part of the COO’s leadership team What you will bring: Over 10 years' experience in leading teams in a fund administration environment or similar industry Formal qualifications in accounting eg. CPA, CA In-depth knowledge of investment markets and the broader finance industry Practical experience in accounting based software and tools In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements related to fund accounting/reporting within a superannuation environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams to be outcome orientated Build client and service related relationships as well as developing a network of strong internal relationships.
