iResearch Atlanta is a multi-specialty clinical research center focused primarily on CNS and mental health as well as various other medical specialties. The Clinical Sub-Investigator is a clinical manager who partners with the Clinical and Medical Site Directors to ensure the research staff delivers safe & effective care. The role is built around the five role sub-components as regulated by the Georgia Board of Registered Research: Leadership, Consultation, Research, Education, & Clinical Practice.

Essential Functions

• Perform medical histories, physical exams, and protocol-based assessments for qualification of subjects for research studies
• Monitor subject safety including reviewing labs results, EKGs, and telemetry
• Assess and manage adverse events and medical emergencies as necessary
• Participate in safety and dosing assessments
• Function as Sub-Investigator and/or Principal Investigator as experience warrants
• Determine eligibility of study volunteers for enrollment into research studies
• Ensure all studies are conducted in compliance with their respective protocols, Good Clinical Practices, and applicable regulations

Pharmacy Responsibilities (as needed)

· Fills physician orders accurately and in a timely manner

· Prepares medication for dispensing to patients enrolled in inpatient study protocols

· Maintains logs, records, and other required documentation accurately, i.e. study drug shipment logs, packing slips, temperature logs, screening and enrollment logs, drug accountability logs, blinding correspondence, expiring data, and return material

· Maintain sample medications, inventory requests, and logs

Basic Qualifications:

• Current Georgia clinical license in good standing as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• Current BLS certificate required; ACLS preferred
• DEA preferred
• 1-2 years clinical research experience preferred
• Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to customers, contracted providers, and vendors
