Third Creek Middle School is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to fill the position of Front Desk Receptionist/Teacher Assistant. This role combines the responsibilities of a front desk receptionist with the supportive duties of a teacher assistant. The ideal candidate will be friendly, efficient, and possess excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

  1. Front Desk Reception:

    • Greet and assist visitors, parents, and students in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Manage incoming calls, providing information and directing calls to the appropriate staff members.
    • Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
    • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  2. Administrative Support:

    • Assist teachers and administrative staff with clerical tasks, such as photocopying, filing, and data entry.
    • Help prepare and organize materials for classroom activities and events.
    • Collaborate with teachers to support the overall functioning of the school.
  3. Student Support:

    • Monitor and manage student sign-ins and sign-outs.
    • Provide support during student arrivals and dismissals.
    • Assist with student attendance tracking and reporting.
  4. Communication:

    • Effectively communicate school policies and information to parents, students, and staff.
    • Respond to inquiries and provide general information about the school.
  5. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with teachers and staff to ensure a smooth flow of information and resources.
    • Collaborate with other school departments to address various needs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience in a school setting or customer service role is preferred.
