Description
Overview
Generates CNC programs using Striker CNC software, as well as others, from AutoCAD drawings, Mylar sketches, Inventor drawings. The programs are primarily for Turret Punch Presses for sheet punching operations, but can also be used for other CNC machinery.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school degree or equivalent is required. Associates or Vocational degree in Sheet metal fabrication, CNC Programming or equivalent experience is preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in a CNC Programming position is required. Knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings is required. Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required. Knowledge of computer software including applications and programming is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend all forms of written and/or verbal instructions including but not limited to basic correspondence. Effectively able to present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units
of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, angles, and volume. Knowledge of basic concepts of geometry is required. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply a commonsense approach and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
