We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Materials Planner. This role reports to the Materials Planning Manager. Job Purpose The successful candidate will be responsible for raw materials, components, and purchased finished goods (FG) supply planning. Ensure an uninterrupted supply to meet internal and external customer requirements. This role will manage the day-to-day supplier issues and relationships from an operational and tactical perspective. This is demonstrated through ownership and personal accountability for the overall performance of the assigned portfolio. This role also manages the inventory levels between locations. Principal Responsibilities Responsible for planning, executing, and managing materials planning for their assigned portfolio using a minimum 12-month horizon. Ensure continuous supply of materials and meet customer service requirements through strategic planning Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing carrying costs and ensuring stock availability Coordinate with production managers to ensure materials are available to support manufacturing operations Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks Work with internal teams and suppliers to address and resolve issues affecting supply continuity Use various tools and software systems to gather, analyze, and report on key performance indicators Implement industry standards and process improvements to enhance materials planning efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory turnover Qualifications & experience: University degree with a specialty in Supply Chain or Engineering APICS (CPIM or other), Lean manufacturing, and Data Analytics are assets 5 years of relevant materials planning and supply planning experience, preferably within an industrial manufacturing Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ability to interpret large amounts of data; high attention to detail.
