Harco Fittings LLC, founded in 1966 in Lynchburg, Virginia is a producer of gasketed joint injection-molded PVC and push-on gasketed joint ductile fittings. We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Maintenance Technician. This role is based in our facility in Stevensville, MT and reports to the Plant Manager. This position will start at $19.19 per hour.

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic individual who will be responsible for troubleshooting, improving and maintaining all plant equipment.

Principal Responsibilities

• Understanding of basic mechanisms such as gears, motors, and vacuum systems
• Have good communication skills, able to follow verbal and written instructions and follow procedures.
• Understand basic electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Preform fleet maintenance on forklifts, as well as other power industrial equipment
• Experience reading technical manuals to understand equipment controls
• Accurately read and use measuring tools
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment start to finish
• Conduct preventative maintenance to keep machinery in operation
• Wear proper safety equipment as directed by the safety department and your supervisor
• Maintain safety and be quality conscious
• Ability to follow instructions and ask questions if something is unclear
• Flexibility to assist in other areas when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or certificate of completion is preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Can operate a forklift and other power industrial equipment
• Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, while working in a fast paced environment
• Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn
• Great teammate with a proven track record to contribute to and cultivate a positive work environment
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Set work schedule Monday - Friday 7am until 3.30pm; Overtime and Weekends as needed

Working Conditions

• Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 70 lbs.
• Ability to stoop, lift/reach overhead, manual dexterity and frequent repetitive motions
• The use of hand tools
• Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required
