Job description

An injection molding manufacturer located in Lake Forest, IL is seeking full-time experienced Quality Control Technicians with basic computer and math skills, knowledge of a variety of measuring devices, good communication skills, ability to document results and assist the manager. Seeking full time for 2nd shift and 3rd Shift offering insurance, paid vacation, paid breaks, and paid holidays.

1st Shift 7 am-3 pm ($15.50 hour)

2nd Shift 3 pm-11 pm ($16.00 hour)

3rd Shift 11 pm-7 am ($16.75 hour)

.25c Increase after 1 year (2-year limit)

Responsibilities

· Compare products to an existing standard of visual and dimensional acceptability

· Thoroughly inspect inventory when necessary

· Assess and correct machine operators’ work

· Notify machine operators when machines need to be adjusted

· Fill out inspection forms

· Label inventory with descriptive labels

Knowledge

· Basic Geometry; how to measure shapes

· Basic arithmetic

· Basic computer navigation

· Data entry

· Problem solving

· Perform tasks with repeatable results

Abilities

· Read charts

· Fill out forms with numerical details

· Take detailed records of dimensions

· Visual acuity

· Able to read measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, other gages)

· Walking/standing most of the day

· Follow written and verbal instructions

· Able to use basic hand tools

FULL-TIME MONDAY-FRIDAY WITH OPTIONAL OT ON WEEKENDS
