Job Title: Student Finance Office Associate
Department: Financial Aid
Reports To: Director of Financial Aid
Job Classification: Non-Exempt
Location: Ellsworth Community College
Summary: The purpose of this position is to support and guide students with all aspects of financing college. This position serves as the student finance office associate by assisting students with student accounts and financial literacy. This position also coordinates the college’s default prevention program and works with veterans’ benefits as ECC’s VA School Certifying Official.
Job Responsibilities:

Serves as a front-line resource for prospective, current, and former students, as well as their families for payment of student accounts. This includes sending statements, receipting payments, setting up payment plans, and following up on collection of student accounts. Additionally, provides monthly reports to Athletic Director and coaches detailing student outstanding balance information for each sport’s athletes.
Receipts all payments made to Ellsworth Community College, this includes the Bookstore, athletic gates and concessions, Library, rental of college facilities, etc.
Receives all third party scholarship checks, records to student accounts, and provides documentation to Financial Aid and to the District Office. Disburses work study checks and financial aid refund checks to students.
Coordinates veteran benefits for eligible students. Attends Veteran’s Administration training workshops, submits veteran related survey responses, and coordinates Veterans Day program on campus.
Reconciles payment information for transcript requests collecting and recording payments for housing deposits, and forwards information to Housing Department.
Assists with financial literacy activities on campus and coordinates the default prevention program and it’s outreach.
Supports the overall success of the District by performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience: Completion of HS or equivalent required. Associate’s degree preferred. Previous office support experience preferred.
Base Wage: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour - actual salary will be based on experience and education.
