Summary: The purpose of this position is to support the Art & Design Department with the studio operations utilized for the programs, assistance with on campus events hosted by the department, and to collaborate with the professor for Gallery Shows & Art Festivals the department participates in. The length of employment is routinely the academic year (fall and Spring Terms); however, some work may be performed during the summer as needed.
Work is to be performed outside of class time if enrolled in Art & Design courses for the term.
Job Duties:
Organizing and cleaning studio space regularly
Prepare art & design materials for events
Recycle clay for reuse
Printing materials for gallery and on campus events
Check
Art & Design machinery for quality
Check Art & Design machinery for quality
Keeping records of supplies that need to be purchased for the departments
Create promotional materials
Abilities:
Basic understanding of art terminology as it relates to art in general, equipment, and supplies.
Student will need to be able to take directions and complete tasks accurately as they will be utilizing Art & Design technologies for various evens and materials posted to for the public eye will need to be done well
Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent
