The Life Center is a premier, non-profit, nursing & rehabilitation center in Des Moines, Iowa. We offer Skilled/Rehabilitation, Long-term Nursing & Alzheimer’s/Memory Care. Since 1931, The Life Center has been Serving the Needs of Persons of All Faiths.

The Life Center currently has a full time housekeeping aide position available. The hours are 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with weekend rotation.

Responsibilities:

- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas

- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors

- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures

- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies

- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly

- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors

- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines

- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor

Experience:

- Previous experience in housekeeping, custodial, or facilities maintenance preferred

- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment

- Familiarity with commercial cleaning products and their proper use

Skills:

-Ability to understand and follow instructions

- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

- Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
