Some of the co-teaching assignments may include challenge-based learning and project-based classes.

Prior experience with post-secondary teaching, preferably at peer institutions, is required. Preference will be given to candidates who can show evidence of teaching innovations that move outside traditional classroom environments and into real-world applications; effective use of technology in instructional environments; and an ability to work well in collaborative educational settings. Ideal candidates will also have experience in working collaboratively to build new and innovative courses and programs.

Standard, part-time instructional faculty pay is $2,232 per unit. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
