Essential Functions

  • Provide Quality Inspection support of new product designs and development
  • Perform Product Verification Inspections during and after manufacturing process for compliance to customer and ION Drawings, Specifications and Operating Procedures
  • Prepare and issue corrective actions
  • Conduct AS9102 First Article Inspections as required
  • Assist QA Director in conducting Internal Audits
  • Perform Weekly Floor Audits
  • Communicate respectfully, effectively and professionally with all ION employees and ION customers
  • Assist Receiving Inspector as needed
  • Assist Calibration Technician as needed
  • Follow corporate safety practices and report to management any unsafe practices observed
  • Assist and advise ION manufacturing personnel when Quality issues are identified
  • Other duties as may be assigned

General Description

Position requires activities that include Quality Inspection support of new product designs and development, product verification inspections and tests, knowledge and familiarity with military specification procedures, and various other duties that may include but are not limited to receiving inspections, in-process inspections, First Article Inspections, procedure definition/development and customer interactions. Requires a firm background in electronics and electronic manufacturing practices, the ability to work well with others and the ability to manage assigned work schedules with minimum supervision. Inspectors must be knowledgeable of measuring equipment used in performance of daily duties, be able to read drawings and schematics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have minimum 2 years of Technical training or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience in the quality assurance field or an equivalent combination of experience and education, that can demonstrate a solid knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and electronic manufacturing practices and procedures.
  • Attention to detail is imperative
  • Must be efficient with a desire to succeed
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Training and or experience in J-Standard for soldering IPC J-STD-001; NASA STD 8739.1, NASA STD 8739.4, IPC 620, IPC 610, etc.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
