Job Status : Beginning in the 2024-25 school year; Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Range : $46,797 to $101,166 annually based on experience and degree

Founded in 1863 by Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, 'Iolani School is an Episcopal day and boarding school in Honolulu, Hawai'i enrolling approximately 2200 students on its K-12, 25-acre urban campus.
'Iolani School seeks a full-time Upper School Band teacher for the 2024-25 school year.
In addition to being active participants in our vibrant learning community, we are looking for educators who will inspire and support our students. The ideal candidate is dynamic, a strong communicator (both written and oral) and committed to professional growth in their discipline and teaching practice.
Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience teaching beginning and intermediate level (grades 6-9) concert band courses and/or advanced levels (grades 9-12). An advanced degree in music education is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable designing and executing curriculum as part of a teaching team and embrace the use of instructional technology. The teaching line may include any combination of the following levels/styles: beginning band, intermediate band, advanced band (wind ensemble), jazz or marching band. Experience or expertise in all of these fields is preferred.
