INW Manufacturing, LLC is Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Technician Near Tempe, AZ

Position Summary: Repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production and processing machinery to keep the equipment and the facilities in compliance with regulations, certification specifications, and with minimal down time to meet production goals.

Pay depends on experience: $25

Work Schedules: Monday-Thursday, 1st Shift - 5:00am-3:30pm or 2nd Shift - 3:45pm-2:15am (Overtime on Fridays may be required)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
  • Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
  • Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
  • Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
  • Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary. Record repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.
  • Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.
  • Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery. Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
  • Perform duties safely and to report unsafe conditions or actions.
  • Assists in other duties as needed and directed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have a mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance; knowledge of engineering and technology, production and processing including quality control, costs, and raw materials. Must have working knowledge of mathematics and their applications. Must be skilled in equipment maintenance, repairs, operation monitoring, troubleshooting, controlling operations of equipment or systems, quality control analysis, critical thinking, and equipment selection. Must have problem sensitivity and information ordering skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: 2 years of industrial maintenance experience

English Language — Must be able to read and comprehend detailed instructions, effectively communicate highly technical concepts and terms in writing and in conversation

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft® Windows®, Microsoft Office programs and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move 50 lbs. or more.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, crouch, crawl, or stoop. Must have arm-hand steadiness, manual and finger dexterity, control precision, multi-limb coordination, reaction time.
  • Specific sensing abilities required by this job include near vision and hearing sensitivity.

Work Environment: characteristic of an FDA regulated manufacturing facility. Personal Protective equipment may be required in certain situations. The employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, noise, and is frequently exposed to airborne particles. Completion of duties must be done within an allotted time which may create a sense of time pressure to meet deadlines.
