Skill Requirements:
  • Cisco CCIE or equivalent data center experience. Strong knowledge and experience with data center design, Cisco Nexus switching, ACI, MDS switching line and/or Juniper JNCIE datacenter or equivalent datacenter experience. Strong knowledge and experience with data center design, Juniper QFX fabric , Apstra.
  • Route/Switch LAN & WAN: In-depth knowledge and experience in designing, implementing, and managing LAN and WAN networks, including routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies, VLANs, and subnetting.
  • Managed Service Provider Experience: Prior experience working with a managed service provider (MSP) is essential. The candidate should understand the dynamics and requirements of managing networks for multiple clients, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • Experience Writing Statements of Work (SOWs) and Bill of Materials (BOMs): Proficiency in preparing detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) and Bill of Materials (BOMs) for network projects, outlining project scopes, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
Additional experience desirable but not required:
  • Aruba Certification: The candidate should possess certifications and strong expertise in Aruba networking technologies, including Aruba wired and wireless solutions, as well as ClearPass. This includes proficiency in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Aruba switches, access points, controllers, and network management platforms. Familiarity with ClearPass for network access control, policy enforcement, and authentication is essential.
  • Palo Alto and Panorama Experience: Strong experience and expertise in Palo Alto Networks firewall technologies, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Panorama for centralized management and monitoring of Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Experience with SD-WAN Technologies, Cisco SD-WAN, Meraki, Silver Peak, Fortinet, Palo Alto including design, build, and deployment.
  • Cloud Networking Technologies: Familiarity with cloud networking technologies and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Experience in designing, implementing, and managing hybrid or cloud-native network architectures.
  • VPN and SASE Solutions: Strong expertise in VPN technologies, including site-to-site VPNs, remote access VPNs, and SSL VPNs. Knowledge of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solutions for securing and optimizing network traffic for remote and branch offices.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting network issues.
  • Strong analytical skills for assessing network performance, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending optimizations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Capacity for learning new technologies and adapting to evolving network requirements and industry trends.
  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and autonomy, with the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a remote environment without direct supervision, while still maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.
