Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Surgery Scheduler to join our team. Full time position scheduling bronchoscopy procedures for a busy Interventional

Pulmonologist based out of Chicago Ridge/Oak Lawn, IL.

Responsibilities:

- Full time position scheduling bronchoscopy procedures for a busy Interventional

Pulmonologist

- Procedures to be scheduled include bronchoscopy, robotic bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound and pleural procedures
- Coordinate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to schedule pre-operative consultations, tests, and post-operative appointments
- Providing basic education prior to the procedure and after the procedure
- Communicate with insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain pre-authorization for surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling records using electronic systems
- Scheduling appropriate follow up visits

- Writing and sending necessary orders to the hospital and providing the patient resources to assist them with making their appointments

- Communicate effectively with office staff, Physician, Physician Assistant and other clinical employees as needed

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in using phone systems and office software
- Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling procedures is required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and schedules

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $17.00 - $24.84 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
