Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced DOT Trailer Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining trailers to ensure they are in safe and working condition for use on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine inspections of trailers to identify any maintenance or repair needs

- Conduct preventative maintenance on trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety

- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts on trailers, such as brakes, tires, lights, and electrical systems

- Perform welding and fabrication work as needed for trailer repairs

- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on each trailer

- Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow

- Comply with all DOT regulations and safety guidelines when working on trailers

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Proven experience as a trailer maintenance technician or similar role

- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for trailer maintenance

- Strong mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record

- Certification in welding or trailer repair is a plus
