Interstate Companies Inc is Hiring a Diesel Technician - Second Shift Near Lakeville, MN

Interstate Power Systems is currently looking for Heavy-Duty Diesel Technicians for our Second Shift with Heavy Duty Truck as well as Trailer repair experience at our Lakeville Minnesota location. This position does not require a CDL but having one or the willingness to obtain a CDL license is highly preferred.

Second Shift: Monday-Friday 3:30pm-12:00am

We are excited to offer paid time off available to use right away and offer a work environment in a state-of-the-art facility with fully air-conditioned service bays, a chassis, engine, and transmission Dyno, as well as a full drive thru steam cleaning bay

Mechanic Job Duties

  • Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of trucks and trailers.
  • Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex engine conditions and make necessary repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
  • Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion
  • Meet requirements for certifications

Technician Position Requirements

  • Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)
  • Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.
  • Must possess an excellent understanding of Allison Transmissions and Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.
  • Experience with other engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus.
  • Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions and drive train, automatic transmissions.
