Overview

Incumbent is responsible for managing the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation comply with company’s regulations, professional standards and GAAP reporting guidelines as well as meets the needs of the parent company. Work with external auditors to manage information requests as well as the Tax department for periodic filings. Furthermore, incumbent is responsible to ensure the Company has sound financial data upon which to base day to day strategic business decisions, which includes maintaining highly analytical reports, not limited to financial statement variance analysis, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) analysis, and budget and forecast analysis.

This position is in office, based in Louisville, KY.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operation of the financial reporting and consolidation process
• Act as a liaison with Finance leaders of our foreign subsidiaries to ensure consolidating trial balances are accurate
• Act as a liaison with the corporate Financial Reporting team to ensure we are providing accurate information and following consistent processes
• Prepare revenue recognition accrual entries
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts
• Ensure US GAAP is being consistently applied
• Conducts financial analysis
• Provides relevant information to senior management on a monthly basis
• Oversee annual audit requests and manage distribution of work and deadlines
• Partners with the business & provide strategic direction and input
• Manages ad hoc financial analysis tasks and projects
• Responsible for testing & roll outs of new/upgraded financial systems
• Finds ways to streamline daily processes to deliver efficiency
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Five years in progressive, senior accounting position
• CPA preferred
• Advanced proficiency in MS suite of products including Excel. Access and VBA/SQL skills a plus
• Highly computer literate with knowledge of general ledger and data base systems. Travcom, NetSuite, TM1 and Hyperion software experience preferred
• Experience in preparing financial statements across numerous entities and currencies is an advantage
• Excellent organizational skills
• Detail orientated with strong follow-through skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and meet deadlines
• Possess highly effective verbal and written communication skills
• Handle confidential information with complete integrity
• Ability to work as a team player
