International Sound Corporation as an immediate opening for local Graphics Operator to work in a live television production environment at Vernon Downs Racetrack in Vernon, New York for the live racing season. The track offers live harness racing located at 4229 Stuhlman Road. The position is seasonal and part time. The racing season began in April and runs through Saturday November 16th. The work schedule will consist of Friday's from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Saturday's from 5:00 PM until 11:00 PM, and Thursday' s in July and August from 5:00 PM until 11:00 PM. In addition, special daytime racing is conducted on Monday May 27th, Friday June 14th, Sunday June 16th, Friday July 26th, and Monday September 2nd when work shifts will be from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM. The candidate should have experience with the use of computer based character generator equipment and will be responsible for daily operation of a digital graphics system. The candidate must have strong windows based computer skills and have the ability to take direction from the Technical Director inside the TV Control Room. Applicant must be available to work during all of the racing performances as listed above. Training for the position will be offered. The candidate must obtain an occupational license with the New York State Racing and Gaming office located on site. The starting hourly wage for the position is $14.50.
