International SOS Government Medical Services Inc is Hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) Near Greensboro, NC

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care within our healthcare organization. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for managing nursing operations, developing nursing policies and procedures, and promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism among nursing staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic nursing leader to make a significant impact on patient outcomes and the overall quality of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Nursing Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the nursing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Clinical Oversight: Oversee all nursing operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, best practices, and organizational policies.
  • Patient Care Quality: Lead efforts to continuously monitor and improve the quality of patient care, clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction within nursing units.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Develop and implement staffing plans and schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal utilization of nursing resources.
  • Training and Development: Provide leadership and support for nursing education and training programs, promoting the professional development and competency of nursing staff.
  • Performance Management: Establish performance metrics and standards for nursing staff, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide feedback and coaching to support individual growth and development.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, allied health professionals, and administrators, to coordinate patient care and achieve organizational goals.
  • Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives within nursing units, analyzing data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing evidence-based strategies to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable nursing regulations, standards of practice, and accreditation requirements, maintaining a thorough understanding of regulatory changes and updates.
  • Budget Management: Participate in budget planning and management for nursing services, optimizing resource allocation and cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Proven leadership experience in nursing management or supervisory roles, with at least [X] years of experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical background with expertise in nursing practice, patient care delivery, and quality improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of nursing regulations, standards of practice, and accreditation requirements.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and excellence in nursing practice.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare technology preferred.
