Job Description
Title: Marketing Manager
Department: Advancement
Reports to: Director of Advancement
Location: School Administration, Burbank, CA
Compensation: Salary $70,000 – $80,000

Context:
The School is currently seeking a Marketing Manager to join its Advancement
team, working closely with the Communications & Content Manager to handle all
marketing, communications and branding responsibilities for the School’s four
campuses. This position will report to the Director of Advancement and manage
the Marketing & Outreach Coordinator.
Main objective:
To support the Advancement and Admissions teams; create and maintain an
outreach program for the School.
Key relationships: Be an active member of the Advancement and Admissions teams
  • Collaborate with Campus Directors
  • Coordinate with parent volunteers
Selection Criteria
Required qualifications: Ability to be an ambassador for the School’s mission and brand identity
  • Proven track record as a marketer (2-3 years)
  • Experience in the development and execution of marketing/advertising plans
  • Experience in writing in different formats (long-form articles, press releases,
e-mail copy, social media captions etc.)
  • Degree/advanced degree
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Superb organizational skills and relationship management
Desirable qualifications: Experience in an international setting and/or school
  • Familiarity with the French culture/language
Specific Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential functions:
  • Manage website redesign and handle design firm relationships, timelines, and
content production
  • Maintain website and facilitate updates and SEO optimization for admissions,
advancement, academics, athletics/extracurriculars, campuses and HR
  • Copywrite and proof School Administration communications: Head of School
messages, advancement efforts, etc.
  • Oversee all advertising, including digital, social media and print ad buys and
implementation
  • Identify, coordinate and manage partnerships and sponsorships with local
news outlets, event directors, industry directories etc.
  • Manage Marketing & Outreach Coordinator and participate in outreach events
where needed
  • Curate social media content and post across all channels, ensuring content is
on-brand and consistent in quality and tone of voice
  • Assist with occasional graphic design responsibilities for digital and print
communications
  • Implement annual marketing plan and handle ROI reports and presentations
to the Marketing & Communications Committee
  • Monitor and work within set marketing budget
  • Event staffing and support where necessary
Areas of collaboration with Communications & Content Manager Powerpoint presentation preparation for Leadership team members (HoS
specifically)
  • Globetrotter (e-magazine) idea brainstorming, copy drafting, etc.
  • Mosaique (weekly newsletter) proofing for accuracy, clarity, typos, etc.
  • Maintaining brand integrity and enforcing Brand Identity Strategy for all
materials: website, print, uniforms, swag, etc.
  • Coordinating back-to-school webpages for each campus; maintaining
consistency
  • Capturing photographs/videos for usage on social, website, Mosaique, etc.
  • Working with photography and videography vendors to curate visual assets
Supervisor Responsibility:
All employees must supervise students and are expected to comply with our
School Child Protection and Mandated Reporter Policies.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses
standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing
cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk
and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending,
kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must
frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required
by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,
depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with standard office hours Monday through Friday, with
occasional evenings and weekends as required.
Travel:
Some travel to other LILA campuses for meetings and events, as well as to
outreach events throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
Work Authorization:
J visa holders cannot be considered.
Must be authorized to work in the United States, take and pass the Department of Justice
Live Scan, and health requirements of health screening, TB, and immunizations.
