Job Description

Overview:

The Program Manager, Private Sponsorship Matching and Placement supports the Matching and Placement Program within the Welcome Corps initiative through assistance with administrative support, data tracking and information management tasks. The Program Manager will support the tracking of program outputs, outcomes, and objectives against established targets. The role also includes assisting with data analysis for donor reporting, and internal IRC reporting needs. The Program Manager works closely with the Senior Program Officer and Program Officer, other Welcome Corps processing staff, the Community Sponsorship Team at IRC Headquarters, the Community Sponsorship Hub, and other Welcome Corps Consortium partners, and other external stakeholders. This position reports to the Senior Program Officer, Private Sponsorship Matching and Placement within the Resettlement, Asylum and Integration (RAI) Department.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Tracking the identification, matching and placement of privately sponsored refugee arrivals in the Welcome Corps program.
  • Develop and maintain regular communication strategies with private sponsorship organizations and private sponsorship groups on assurance deadlines.
  • Complete data analysis required for quarterly and final reporting requirements.
  • Organize and update internal rosters of private sponsorship organization contact information.
  • Create and maintain IRC internal reports on Matching & Placement activities, as needed.
  • Assist with emergent data, tracking and reporting needs regarding named cases to be determined in Phase 2 of the program
  • Other duties, as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of additional data analysis tools, preferred.
  • Experience with IRIS, Hummingbird or other data systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills: the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and partners and to draft and edit memos, letters, reports and proposals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, effectively manage time, and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently and productively in a fast-paced environment – initiative to problem solve within the job parameters is essential.

Work Experience:

  • Relevant professional experience in human services field required; minimum of 2-4 years in the U.S. refugee admissions program (USRAP), preferred.

  • Possesses strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in language(s) spoken by client group is desired.

Working Environment:

  • A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.
  • May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirement
