Job Title: Mental Health Screening Specialist

Location: Salt Lake City, UT USA Job Overview: The Mental Health Screening Specialist provides trauma-informed services to refugees and other qualified immigrants to support a positive resettlement experience and the achievement of client self-sufficiency. The IRC SLC Health Program works to ensure that newly resettled refugees have access to comprehensive, linguistically, and culturally appropriate medical and mental health services. Under the direction of the Mental Health Coordinator, the Mental Health Screening Specialist will be responsible for conducting Mental Health Screenings with clients and working with the mental health team to provide referrals and facilitate access to mental health appointments for refugees that screen positive for mental distress. Major Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Job Requirements: Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in mental health related field, Psychology or Social Work or equivalent experience Work Experience: Relevant professional experience in mental health and/or human services field required; minimum of 1-2 years’ experience strongly preferred; preferably with diverse/refugee population Demonstrated Skills & Competencies: Working Environment: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates.
