The IRC Health Department consists of programs that address public health, access to health services, and health equity for Refugees, Immigrants, and Migrants (RIM) communities. These programs include services for newly arrived refugees, clients with behavioral health needs, complex medical needs, pregnant women, victims of domestic violence, and the elderly. Job Overview The Health Promotion Supervisor provides supervision of health education workshops and health service coordination, program oversight, staff supervision, partnership development, and grant maintenance. This role will be responsible for developing or curating culturally and linguistically appropriate maternal and child health education curriculum for the Afghan population and developing a health service coordination project for Ukrainian new arrivals. This position is charged with assisting the Sr. Health Program Manager in maintaining service provision and contract compliance for the National Resource Center for Refugees, Immigrant, and Migrant (NRC-RIM) and Refugee Health Promotion grants. This position will also assist the Sr. Health Program Manager with strategic planning and monitoring and evaluation of the specified programs catered for Afghan pregnant women and children under the age of 5 and the Ukrainian newly arrived population. Major Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Key Working Relationships: Position Reports to:Senior Health Program Manager Indirect Reporting: IRC Deputy Director, IRC Tucson Director, IRC HQ Internal: IRC staff, interns and volunteers External:Community partners, sub-grantees, stakeholder partners, State Refugee Health Manager, DES, NRC-RIM, medical providers, Ethnic Based Community Organizations Job Requirements: Education: Undergraduate degree in a related field or five years of experience in health-related case management or health promotion position working with a minority population, is required. Master in Public Health or Equivalent preferred. Work Experience: Two years of professional work experience; preferably in public health, non-profit, or social services environment Demonstrated Skills and Proficiencies: Language Skills:Fluency in written and spoken English, bilingual ability preferred in Dari, Pashto, Ukrainian, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, French or other refugee/immigrant language used in Arizona. Cross-cultural understanding and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Working Environment: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates.
