Job Description

Background/IRC Summary: Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC offers lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster. The IRC is on the ground in more than 40 countries, providing emergency relief, relocating refugees, and rebuilding lives in the wake of disaster. Through 25 regional offices in cities across the United States, the IRC also helps refugees resettle in the US and become self-sufficient.

Job Overview/Summary:The Coordinator, RCA Data & Eligibility, leads the Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) program in maintaining comprehensive client data management. The role helps manage client records from pre-screening through case closeout.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maintenance of accurate records of client data during the pre-screening, intake, active caseload, and case closeout processes
  • Transfer client data between case management software systems
  • Collaborate with casework team members to keep accurate records of client information
  • Prepare and review monthly reports
  • Support external and internal audits as needed; prepare materials requested by external auditors
  • Ensure our data management tools are working most effectively
  • Create program materials that support the effective management of information
  • Train staff on client data entry processes
  • Supervise program assistant and provide oversight for eligibility screenings of new clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Two years of post-secondary education and/or two years of experience working in data management, administrative support, or a related field, preferably in a non-profit setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of working as a team member in a cross-cultural environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • High attention to detail
  • English fluency

Working Environment: Combination of standard in-office work environment and remote work. The position is based in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirement.
