INTERNATIONAL MARINA GROUP LP is Hiring an Equipment operator Near Warwick, RI

The Equipment Operator is responsible for the movement of all vessels located in the facility for haul & launch, designated work, storage or sales.

This position is also required to inspect, repair, and maintain all assigned equipment.

The Equipment Operators title may be specific to their trade and titled as such (Equipment Operator (Service), Equipment Operator (Storage), Equipment Operator (Marina) etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to : marine forklifts, travelifts, and hydraulic trailersBe able to operate machinery efficiently, effectively and demonstrate safe handling of vesselsUse equipment to move vessels in and out of water, to designated work space, storage or sales areasInspect, maintain and repair equipment to ensure operationalPerform yard work such as pressure washing, bottom painting, block and stand vessels, and general maintenance as requiredAssist with ground maintenance and ensuring overall marina cleanlinessAvailable to work overtime when requiredOther duties as assigned by Manager Technical and Physical Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required2-3 years relevant experience preferredHeavy forklift experience and certification requiredAbility to ascend and descend a ladderAbility to work in all weather conditionsAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to lift 50 poundsBasic boat handling skills preferredMust possess a valid drivers license Minimum Soft Skills Qualifications Eagerness to engage in a growing, fast paced, and industry-leading companyConsistently treats others with dignity and respectGenuinely serves others with humility and a positive attitudeFrequently demonstrates a bias toward actionAlways communicates effectively and courteously with fellow teammates and membersContinuously follows policies and procedures while seeking out new and better ways of accomplishing dutiesShows resolve and overcomes difficulties in a positive and productive mannerGladly provides responsive, and high level of service to our teammates and membersEagerly puts forth the extra effort to accomplish dutiesAdapts quickly and efficiently to changing priorities in order to meet teammate or member needs The Company Safe Harbor Marinas, LLC (SHM) is the largest owner and operator of marinas in the world.
