Experienced Semi-Skilled Automotive Technician

Position Summary: International Kia is seeking an experienced semi-skilled automotive technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive maintenance and repair, with a focus on Kia vehicles. As a member of our service department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through expert vehicle diagnostics and repairs. Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, in accordance with Kia standards.
2. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on Kia vehicles, utilizing diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
3. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
4. Complete repairs efficiently and accurately, adhering to dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
5. Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to explain recommended repairs and obtain necessary approvals.
6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
7. Stay updated on Kia vehicle technologies and participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
8. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an automotive technology program preferred.
2. ASE certification or equivalent automotive training/experience is highly desirable.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on Kia vehicles preferred.
4. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and repair automotive issues.
5. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
9. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
