Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and helping individuals improve their English language skills. As an ESL Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective ESL lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of adult learners
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to enhance students' language proficiency
- Assess students' language abilities and provide constructive feedback to support their progress
- Incorporate learning technology and Learning Management Systems (LMS) into lessons
- Communicate effectively with students to ensure comprehension and engagement
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and educational initiatives
- Provide support and guidance to students with special education needs or those learning English as a second language
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Certification in ESL teaching or TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
- Experience in adult education or teaching English language learners
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus
- Knowledge of special education practices is beneficial
- Familiarity with learning technology and LMS platforms
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
