Job Summary:
Assist Trade Floor Sr. Credit Manager and other managers within Treasury as needed with varied, complex, and detailed financial evaluations of domestic and international companies that are, or have the potential of becoming, counterparties associated with all CITGO business units. Make recommendations for appropriate counterparty credit risk for the company. Maintain receivable(s) resulting from those commitments within approved lines of credit and terms of sale. Make recommendations, after evaluating available data, for new or existing vendor relationship(s). Assist in collections efforts for certain portfolios which include reconciliation efforts and working with other groups within the company. Also, conduct Ad Hoc analysis and other special projects upon request. Its anticipated the percentage of time allocated to Analysis and Special Projects will increase when the Credit Management System and ETRM Right Angle implementation is complete. This position also coordinates inputs from internal and external contacts to gain alignment and forecast volumes, scheduling, and deliveries. Requires analytical skills and strong communication skills.

- Requires a basic to moderate level of financial skills to perform data and trend analysis.
- Basic to moderate level of knowledge of corporate credit processes.
- Skills to investigate, analyze & evaluate key credit data.
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills to recommend changes where needed.
- Minimal supervision.
- knowledge of Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with SAP and PowerBI a plus.
Job Duties:
- Analysis . Identify and analyze key data from customers financial statements and enter them in the SAP Credit Management Model. Review them for accuracy, may vary from simple to moderate analysis, and make recommendations to trade floor credit managers. Develop and analyze a credit database to predict patterns and trends. Develop reports to present the result of the analysis as requested by the Sr. Credit Manager and/or the Manager, Credit Operations. Utilize process analysis tools to evaluate and identify root cause. Recommend changes/improvement for the credit processes.
- Collection . Confirm all selected invoices daily with customers and trading partners. Assist in reconciling account discrepancies and financial disputes, reaching out to clients to collect documents and necessary data for resolution processes. Respond to the customers' inquiries and concerns regarding their account status. This analysis requires an understanding of CITGOs cash management system, SAP, billing process, supply, and logistics contractual obligations vs actual liftings, and buying patterns that differ by account. Responsible for the identification and resolution of problems uncovered by the analysis; requires interaction and negotiation/reconciliation of variance with customer records as well as internally with credit managers, traders, terminal operations, and Treasury. Report findings to Senior Credit Manager and escalate issues to the appropriate business unit as they arise. Perform the process to follow up on past dues resulting from non-payment of invoices and charges on certain accounts.
- Payment Confirmation . Responsible for the companys daily trade floor payment confirmation process. Reach out on periodic basis, monitor responses and provide updates to management for review. Follow up with non-responsive Counterparties and forward disputes to appropriate departments internally as needed. Work closely with trade floor Credit Managers and advise of issues
- Projects . Prepare reports analyzing/evaluating CITGOs Trade Floor credit portfolio. Utilize charts and statistical tools to analyze variances and identify opportunities for process/reporting improvement. Perform ETRM and Credit Management System implementations and provide ongoing support, detailed analysis and development of enhanced processes and procedures.
- Reports . Perform special projects including but not limited to developing slides for various presentations and performing analysis on Credit related items as requested by the Sr. Credit Manager, Manager, Credit Operations, Assistant Treasurer and/or the Corporate Treasurer.
- Misc . Handles requests to create new Miscellaneous Payer accounts from various departments. Request additional information necessary to create a new Payer account. Gathers data and analyzes data prior to submitting to the appropriate parties for various audit requests and assists with EFT proposals when needed. Perform special projects and ad hoc work as requested by senior treasury management.
