We’re hiring a Warehouse Supervisor to Live. Work. Explore. at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon!

Job Summary:This position assists in the operation of the warehouse, including all shipping and receiving responsibilities, and oversees warehouse operation and responsibilities in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.

The Details:Position Type: Full-Time, Year-RoundPay: $17.30 per hourSchedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Housing: Private room in a shared apartment at a cost of $267/month, payroll-deducted

Responsibilities

• Supervise work for warehouse personnel. Occasional scheduling duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
• Supervise cleaning and organization of warehouse, assuring a safe and clean working environment.
• Perform basic computer functions within the purchasing/inventory system.
• Assure that count, quality and condition of product being received is consistent with the purchase order.
• Complete the receiving packet with all necessary information and sign the documents acknowledging receipt and accuracy of all merchandise listed on the purchase order.
• Inspect goods at receiving and refuse at the dock any visibly damaged shipment.
• Refuse any shipment not authorized by a purchase order number.
• Advise residents through post office when personal UPS/FedEx packages arrive.
• See that all received items are marked with the correct stock number and assure product is put away in the correct pick fashion.
• Prepare all documents needed by the shipping company for transporting freight and arrange for shipments out of our warehouse.
• Assist in monthly physical inventory count and verifications.
• Advise the manager of necessary preventive maintenance or vehicle repairs on the assigned warehouse vehicles.
• Provide buyers with quantities for reorder on warehouse stocked products, keeping inventory levels at the minimum par to attain complete order fill to the units and control waste and/or dumps.
• Make deliveries to units as needed.
• Support all other Purchasing Department duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
• Adhere to all safety, risk management, sustainability and ergonomic polices as duties are performed.
• Ensure that assigned staff is adhering to risk management procedures.
• Do periodic spot inventory checks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One year warehouse supervisor experience preferably with food and perishables.
• Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license within 90 days, and comply with company Driver Safety Program.
• Ability to drive, backup and park a cube box delivery truck in tight quarters.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and pallet jack.
• Ability to learn and utilize purchasing and inventory tracking software.
• Possess good written communication skills, plus competency in basic math skills.
• Ability to lift and safely carry 50 lbs. regularly, occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to move up to 350 lbs. on a two wheeled dolly, up and down ramps and over rough terrain.
• Willingness to work schedule that may include early morning start times, weekends and holidays.
