Intermountain Erectors is Hiring a Steel Erection Company Estimator Near Idaho Falls, ID
TRC Fabrication LLC / Intermountain Erectors, Inc. is looking for Steel Estimators to provide reliable, consistent, timely and accurate estimates for steel detailing, structural and miscellaneous fabrication and steel erection.
Duties:
Key Performance Objectives (include but are not limited to):
- Prepare detailed estimates in accordance with the scope of work, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare quantity “take-offs” for fabrication and erection of structural steel, miscellaneous steel, stairs and railings.
- Apply work hour unit rates for each item in the estimate to generate the overall direct work hours.
- Assist in the solicitation of quotes from material and equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and specified manufacturers.
- Distribute and maintain control of bid documents.
- Identify project requirements for weather protection, cranes, hoists, HES requirements and services.
- Analyze project location and productivity associated with the location.
- Review labor costs and applicable licensing requirements.
- Ensure all bid forms are completed and properly executed.
- Facilitate bid review meetings with Upper Management to finalize bid.
Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience estimating on structural steel and miscellaneous steel projects.
- Competitive bid experience up to $5M preferred.
- FabSuite/Tekla, Bluebeam experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of AISC.
- Thorough understanding of steel fabrication and erection practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities.
- Knowledge of estimating Best Practices.
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, ethical, and team player willing to grow with the company.
