SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role will play a pivotal role in steering strategic financial planning and analysis initiatives for key customer accounts. Your primary responsibilities include overseeing budget development, conducting comprehensive financial analysis, and ensuring the accuracy of forecasts for designated accounts. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will present insightful financial reports to the executive team, driving alignment between financial strategies and organizational objectives. Your proactive approach to process enhancement and industry trend monitoring will be instrumental in fostering the company's financial success. This role will have first line contact with customer finance departments to ensure payment and collection efforts are completed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates with operations and finance the month-end close process and variance analysis for projection versus plan
Root cause analysis of revenue, operating cost and Earnings Before Interest and Taxes variances to plan and projections
Ensuring the completeness and integrity of all financial reports and internal control requirements are met
Partners with operations team to drive the profitable growth of profit and loss through productivity and revenue growth
Oversees compliance with contract results, aid in monitoring critical metric maximization and participate in contract performance reviews
Supports the Operations teams with key customer meetings, quarterly business reviews and budget presentations
Participates in new business and customer retention efforts through analytical support and proforma development
Assists in coordinating the monthly planning process, which includes setting targets, analysis of monthly spreads and helping with organizing the budget presentation
Reviews monthly invoices for key customer contracts to ensure accurate and prompt payment with support from operations
Develop and build strong relationships with operations, partnering to bridge the communication between finance and operations that will improve the overall financial reporting of key accounts.
Prepares financial reports, and analysis on a routine basis for Regional General Managers in Operations.
Assist and prepare reporting the operation’s monthly reviews (MOR).
Under the direction of the FP&A Director, compiles cash flow forecasts and variance analysis for stakeholders including senior management and Board of Directors.
As needed, assists with the preparation Board of Director’s deck and ad-hoc financial presentations and/or analysis used by Senior Management and Board of Directors.
Awareness of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) results used by operations in managing the business.
Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
Minimum seven years’ experience in accounting required (including revenue control, financial reporting, cash handling, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to prepare monthly financial statements, key metric reports, budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and analyses.
Database reporting capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a concentration in Excel.
Healthcare Technology Management experience is preferred.
Experience working with Sage-Intacct highly desirable.
Public or private accounting experience highly desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capable of managing multiple priorities.
Strong analytical and organizational skills
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
Requires excellent communication and follow-through skills, and a high level of comfort working with databases and technology. Occasionally dealing with high stress issues relating to the role. Occasionally lift up to 20lbs. Works constantly while sitting (67% to 90% of the time) on the phone and computer entering data and coordinating service. Must be able to travel to InterMed offices, customer locations, and other destinations for business related functions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires routine contact with staff and clients. May require after-hours work on a company-provided phone and/or laptop.
